The Sarasota Film Festival, now celebrating its 21st year, is looking to hire a Marketing & Events Coordinator to assist in the execution of the festival’s community and sponsorship outreach strategy. The festival runs from April 5th-14th but organizes numerous community events all year long.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Coordinate festival events
- Liaison with vendors
- Design marketing materials
- Reach out and follow up with sponsors and other festival partners
- Coordinate placement of festival events in relevant guides
- Maintain a schedule for outreach activities
- Social media marketing (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter)
- Coordinate the distribution of print and electronic promotional materials
- Other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Events coordination experience
- Marketing and fundraising experience
- Adobe Creative Suite experience (Photoshop, InDesign)
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Exceptional ability to manage details and to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to meet deadlines and to anticipate next steps or needs
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Bachelor’s degree (or currently enrolled student) or equivalent work experience.
