The impact of social media is sometimes mind-boggling. Don’t we wish we could all just play with toys and make $22 million dollars. The top earner on YouTube in 2018 was a 7-year-old boy named Ryan. Ryan, of Ryan’s ToysReview, has over 17.5 million subscribers. With a weekly video of Ryan playing with a new toy, in 2018 Ryan made about $21M off of pre-roll advertising for his channel. As the views come pouring in from kids and moms who use the videos as product reviews, the advertising dollars rack up for Ryan’s ToysReview.
While we can’t promise a monetized social channel of $22M dollars, The Social Media Magnet will teach college students about how to run a successful social media campaign that uses social media channels to funnel viewers and readers back into their primary hub, their created website. With The Social Media Magnet, students learn to strategically place calls-to-action that illicit the prescribed response on site. Adding Google Analytics and other plugins helps students make sound strategic decisions about how to increase traffic and response rates.
